It’s hard to believe it’s almost fall, or is it? Summer always seems to fly by. Back-to-school finalizations are in full swing. We’re soaking up the last of this holiday weekend. Soon we will be sipping apple cider at the pumpkin patch. Between the endless to do list and busy schedules, it’s easy to forget to book a session to update your family photos. I am offering limited mini-sessions for busy families.
There are various opinions on what lifestyle photography is. On one end of the spectrum is classic portraiture and on the other end is documentary photography. Lifestyle photography falls somewhere in the middle. Classic portraiture is a completely controlled environment, like a studio, and the photographer has control over all elements of the session including lighting, props, and posing.
Living in Northern Minnesota, winter is a harsh reality at times. Very few days will be above freezing during this season and, even when they are, the “feels-like" temp may not be. There are many reasons to embrace the outdoors for your next photo session: Maybe you really love winter, are due with a baby soon, just got engaged, or maybe you want to record a milestone like baby’s first birthday. But how do you stay warm during an outdoor winter photo shoot?
